Puffy Mad About "Sean John" Knock-Offs

Diddy Launches Fight Against Counterfeit Clothing.... Sean 'Diddy' Combs has launched a merchandising war against counterfeit copies of his Sean John Canada fashion line to generate awareness about the country's growing bootleg clothing problem.

Combs' 'Don't Buy A Lie' campaign is an alliance between the hip-hop mogul's fashion label and the Canadian media, celebrities, retailers and consumers to raise the profile of the counterfeit clothes industry.

Celebrities involved include National Basketball Association (Nba) star Chris Bosh, rapper Drake, reggae artist Kardinal Offishall and video producer Little X.

Genuine Sean John Canada clothing will be identifiable by colour-coded tags, which will change each season with different shipments and can be verified online at website DontBuyALie.com.

Rosa Costa, Sean John Canada president and general manager, tells AllHipHop.com, "Canadian consumers need to know what they are buying is authentic.

"Counterfeits are poorly constructed, made of cheap fabric and use flimsy hardware. They do not deliver Sean John's hallmark of high quality; and we are committed to driving awareness as we do not want our consumers fooled."
