Lohans NEW Lawsuit Over '05 Crash

Lindsay Lohan Faces Another Lawsuit Over A 2005 Car Crash.

Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan is facing more legal action - she is being sued over a May 2005 car accident when she crashed into a van in an attempt to escape an over-eager paparazzo.

The Mean Girls star was allegedly run off the road in Los Angeles by snapper Galo Ramirez on 31 May (05) while she was trying to lose the photographer in rush-hour traffic.

But as she escaped in her Mercedes, she collided with Raymundo Ortega's vehicle in West Hollywood and he is now taking legal action against Lohan for her "reckless driving".

In the lawsuit filed yesterday (14Jun07) in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Ortega claims Lohan - who was 18 at the time - was driving under the influence when the accident took place.

Ortega is also suing West Hollywood's The Ivy restaurant for "serving alcoholic beverages" to the actress shortly before the incident while she was under the legal U.S. drinking age of 21, according to tmz. He is suing both Lohan and The Ivy for damages in excess of $200,000 (£100,000).

The legal papers also allege Lohan has "a habit, custom and practice of racing and speeding with Mercedes Benz" and has received "several speeding tickets and been involved in several automobile accidents" as a result.

Earlier this week (13Jun07), it was reported the 20-year-old is also being sued for an October 2005 crash.

The news comes one month (May07) after Lohan was charged with driving under the influence after crashing her car in Beverly Hills, and checked into a rehab facility shortly afterwards.
