Appearing naked on a magazine cover is one way to stifle criticism of your wardrobe. Which is what Britney Spears just pulled off by pulling off her clothes for the August ish of Harper's Bazaar. But Britney being Britney, things didn't go off without a hitch, as the photos leaked out onto the Internet. Still, reverberations from B-girl's Dateline sniffle-fest continue. The Enquirer reports that interviewer Matt Lauer pitched in as a stylist, and reportedly suggested Britney change out of the short-shorts and bathing-suit halter she showed up in, saying "I want you to be happy with yourself on-camera and to like the way you look." Britney changed--but not much--into a denim miniskirt and an exploding-cleavage top. Come to think of it, maybe the same thing happened at the Harper's Bazaar shoot, and having Britney grab her girls à la Demi Moore was the best compromise they could reach.
