Puffy aka P.Diddy, aka, Diddy did it first, now Christina Aguilera announced that she wants to be called 'Baby Jane' from now on.

The 'Dirrty' singer, who used to be known as 'Xtina', has reinvented herself for her new album, 'Back To Basics', ditching her trademark leather chaps and body piercings for a new demure 50s-inspired look.

Christina insists she wants people to call her by the new nickname because she is a new person.

She told HX magazine: "I thought Xtina was a cute nickname for the last record, but now the character for this record is 'Baby Jane'."

The 25-year-old star, who is married to music executive Jordan Bratman, has also praised former rival Britney Spears.

Christina thinks Britney, who is currently expecting her second child with husband Kevin Federline, is in a special place in her life right now.

She said: "I knew that eventually our bodies of work would differ. I think she's in a beautiful time in her life right now - she's a mother, and I think it's great."

The singer - who sports a mass of blonde curls and bright red lips in the picture - spent an hour perfecting her pose, which was inspired by bombshell Marilyn Monroe.
Meanwhile, Aguilera is apparently locked in a war of words with fellow diva
Mariah Carey.
Christina told GQ: "One time, we were at a party and I think she got really drunk, and she had just really derogatory things to say to me.

"But it was at that time she had that breakdown, so she might have been very
medicated."
Mariah - who was hospitalised for exhaustion in 2001 - later told Access
Hollywood: "I had hoped Christina was in a better place now than the last
time I saw her, when she showed up uninvited at one of my parties and
displayed questionable behaviour.
"It's sad, yet predictable, that she would use my name at this time to
reinvent past incidents for her promotional gain. It is in my heart to
forgive and I will keep her in my prayers."

After learning of Carey’s reply, Aguilera tells Us: “At this point in my life I do not want bad energy with anyone. My intentions were not to upset Mariah. I have all the respect in the world for her.”

Aguilera has said that since she married Jordan Bratman last year, she wants to clean up her "Dirrty" image. But she still poses naked in GQ with nothing but artfully draped bedsheets hiding her naughty bits reports PageSix.

Meanwhile, some of Aguilera's friends she can do without. Things took a nasty turn at a raucous party last month.

Pamela Anderson and her husband Kid Rock tied the knot once again in the groom's home city Detroit Saturday, just a week after their first wedding in Saint-Tropez, the actress says on her website.

"It's official. Just left the courthouse! Mr. and Mrs. Ritchie have left the building," reads the posting headlined "Just Married" on Anderson's Web site. (Kid Rock's real name is Bob Ritchie.)

The second ceremony comes as no surprise, however: Pam announced last month at her official website that she planned to have multiple weddings with Kid Rock.

“I'm going to get married a few times this month to the same guy," she said. "We had to do Malibu, we've got to do Detroit, and we've got to do Nashville."

The former Baywatch star also sparked rumors she is already pregnant.

Less than a week after her nuptials, Anderson phoned into American Idol host Ryan Seacrest's daily radio breakfast show on Friday, insisting, "I've never been happier."

When asked by Seacrest if she and Kid Rock had plans to start a family, Pammie responded: "There might be one in there now."

She also cleared up rumours that her Saint-Tropez wedding was illegal, saying the couple "hit the courtroom" to make sure it official.

Madonna Pimps Her Ride!

Pop superstar Madonna is such a fan MTV show PIMP MY RIDE she is planning to copy the car makeover concept for her new music video.


The thirty-minute show, which quickly became one of the music channel's most popular, sees a hip team of mechanics revamp ageing vehicles for young contestants.


And the MATERIAL GIRL is keen to follow suit - by transforming a battered Ford Cortina into a classier set of wheels for next single SORRY, which will also feature a cameo appearance from the show's UK host DJ TIM WESTWOOD.


A source tells British newspaper The Sun, "Madonna really loves the MTV show. She wanted to do a video with a rags-to-riches story, taking a battered old British banger and turning it into something special.


"Her record company contacted the MTV producers behind Pimp My Ride and they came up with a storyboard and car for the video."


The new single will reportedly be remixed by the PET SHOP BOYS.

American Idol: MAD at Fantasia for Movie Deal

Although Fantasia: Life is Not a Fairy Tale – the TV movie about third-season American Idol winner Fantasia Barrino's difficult past – is not due to air on Lifetime until Aug. 19, producers of the FOX talent show reportedly are already crying foul over their depiction in the biopic. "Certainly, under no circumstances was she ever approached to be talked out of taking part in (the show)," Idol executive producer Ken Warwick tells the New York Post, in response to the tele-movie's claim that Barrino was urged to withdraw from the competition because – as an unwed mother and high-school drop-out – she was not a suitable role model. "We knew she had a baby right from Day One, and she was always strongly tipped to win the competition because she was so good," insists Warwick, adding, "I can absolutely refute that nothing was done, or even remotely suggested to her that she shouldn't take part in the competition. It's a complete fabrication." According to the Post, the movie opens with the then-19-year-old Barrino's coming off the Idol stage and being asked to speak with producers, who confront her with Internet postings about her suitability to compete. "It's absolutely and totally untrue," Warwick responds. "I'm the executive producer, Nigel (Lythgoe) is the other executive producer and nobody – to my knowledge – would have said anything like that to her." There has been no comment from Barrino on Warwick's claims. Earlier this month, the singer told the Television Critics Association at its summer meeting that the movie – in which she plays herself – was a difficult experience for her because, among other reasons, she had to relive the rape the resulted in her having a child. Still, she said, she believes her story can inspire others. "At the end, I began to cry and I said, 'I went through all those things, but I know why I share my life.' Mel Gibson in REHAB!

Mel Gibson has sought treatment for alcoholism, his rep, Alan Nierob, tells PEOPLE. "He definitely entered a program," said Nierob, who wouldn't identify or describe the program or say how long Gibson planned to be there. Gibson was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in Malibu early Friday morning. On Saturday, he issued a statement apologizing for his behavior after the arrest. The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department turned its case over to the district attorney Monday. The DA's office is now reviewing the information to determine whether to press charges. Controversy erupted this weekend over allegations that the Sheriff's Department sanitized an arrest report containing anti-Semitic and sexist remarks that Gibson allegedly made while in custody. DA spokesperson Jane Robison tells PEOPLE, "We believe we received a complete report, but can't comment on the details of it." An arraignment is set for Sept. 28. Meanwhile, a spokesperson for Disney said Monday that the studio plans to release Gibson's latest film, Apocalypto, as scheduled on Dec. 8. - AOL.com
