Well it took a while but in 2006 Star Jones finally did admit that she had plastic surgeries. The ABC talker confirmed exclusively to the American tabloid 'In Touch Weekly' that she has had a breast lift.
In Touch has learned that in addition to having a breast lift, the View host - who has lost 150 pounds over the past two-and-a half years - also had a tummy tuck to remove excess skin.
Yet, at that time she STILL denied having ANY other surgeries - including gastric bypass. Gastric bypass surgery is one type of procedure that can be used to cause significant weight loss if you are very obese. The surgery reduces your body's intake of calories. Calorie reduction is accomplished in two ways:
1. After the surgery, your stomach is smaller. You feel full faster and learn to reduce the amount that you eat at any given time.
2. Part of your stomach and small intestines are literally bypassed (skipped over) so that fewer calories are absorbed. Unfortunately, sometimes nutrients are lost as well.
So when Star Jones kept on denying the surgery people started getting angry. It was painfully obvious that her massive weight loss had nothing to do with her breast lift...or the tummy tuck in Los Angeles.
But eventually Star decided to come clean about this surgery too. She finally admitted to undergoing a gastric bypass procedure in August of 2003 - duh, we know this because we SAW THE PHOTOS!!! 160 pounds in 3 years..."hello!"
This is what Star had to say about the whole ordeal -
"Everything about me was already so public (mostly my own doing — talk about dumb!), so of course everyone wanted to know what I had done,” she writes. “I was also terrified someone would have a tragic result after emulating me without making an informed decision with her doctor.”
“But the complete truth is, I was scared of what people might think of me,” she continues. “I was afraid to be vulnerable, and ashamed at not being able to get myself under control without this procedure.”
Although Star had to make a gigantic deal about her "secretive" surgeries, YOU don't have to! You can get a Beverly Hills tummy tuck preformed by a wonderful doctor, without having to be Star Jones (thankfully!).
So if you want Beverly Hills rhinoplasty, a tummy tuck, a breast lift or simply botox, go for it!

Star Jones was so worried about what people would have thought about her when she first had her surgery. Rosie called her on it and she decided to lie about what she had done. She owes Rosie a public apology. Also, I use to like Star but now she's just another liar. Talk about throwing a reputation down the drain. Good luck Star trying to recover your integrity.
